This is an archive of every game of Mixchange we've done with the NIGHTCORNER in the past!

The Mixchange is a playlist gift exchange we do twice a year (one in spring, and one in fall) where every participant makes a playlist for another participant based on a wishlist. Gifters have to keep their identity and playlist a secret until the posting period, when everyone reveals the playlists they've made for each other at the same time. During the Spring Mixchange, we do playlists based on characters, and during the Fall Mixchange, we do playlists based on general prompts.

If you'd like to join in on a game, keep an eye on the forum! You can also join the Discord server to be notified when a new game starts. Joining on Discord is optional: you only need a forum account to participate.

The 2026 Spring Mixchange ran from the 22nd of March until the 26th of April. There were 16 participants this year! It was ran through the NIGHTFORUM, and the full event info can be found [HERE].

The 2025 Fall Mixchange ran from the 13th of September until the 19th of October. There were 14 participants (and 18 playlists!) this year! It was ran through the NIGHTFORUM, and the full event info can be found [HERE].

2022 Sping Mixchange:

The 2022 Spring Mixchange ran from the 1st of April until the 8th of May. There were # participants this year! This was the first edition of the Mixchange that was ran through the NIGHTFORUM instead of through Discord. Wishlists and information were sent through forum PMs instead of Discord DMs, participants had to post their finished playlists in the event's forum thread, and people would be able to join the game even if they didn't have a Discord account or didn't want to join the Discord server. Reminders and announcements were still posted on Discord, and there was a channel where people could chat about the game and tag their match afterwards, but all of that was optional to the game. 2021:

2021 Fall Mixchange:

The 2021 Fall Mixchange ran from the 5th of October until the 7th of November. There were 18 participants! This event was the last Mixchange hosted entirely Discord, and participants had to post their finished playlists somewhere off-Discord once the posting period began. Most participants posted theirs as a Google doc. The full event info can be found [HERE].

The 2021 Spring Mixchange ran from the 14th of March until the 18th of April. There were 14 participants! The event was hosted on Discord, and participants had to post their finished playlists somewhere off-Discord once the posting period began. The full event info can be found [HERE].

2020:

2020 Fall Mixchange:

The 2020 Fall Mixchange ran from the 2nd of November until the 7th of December. There were 16 participants! This is the first time we did a playlist exchange based on general prompts as opposed to characters; we wanted to do something that would also be fun for people who weren't really into fandom or original characters. The event was hosted on Discord, and participants were supposed to post their finished playlist somewhere off-Discord once the posting period began, though platform did not matter. 2020 Spring Mixchange:

The 2020 Spring Mixchange ran from the 15th of March until the 21st of April. There were 9 participants! It wasn't exactly the first edition of the Mixchange - that was an Ace Attorney-themed playlist exchange back in 2017 - but it's the first Mixchange we did as the NIGHTCORNER! The event was hosted on Discord, and participants had to post their finished playlists on either Tumblr or X (then Twitter) once the posting period began, so that the recipient would be able to reshare and save the playlist to their own account. As much as possible, playlist info, (user)names, (playlist/post) links, and cover images on this page, were taken from public online posts by the submitter, and I am using these in good faith that I have permission to also share these in the archive. For entries that were (no longer) up publicly, I've asked permission to share playlist links and covers where possible. If I couldn't get in touch or didn't receive permission, I've omitted these details from the page.

If you'd like anything changed or omitted from one of your own submissions on this page (ex. change or remove your (user)name, remove the playlist link, etc), just let me know and I'll edit it. Because this is an archive, I've tried to preserve as much of the original submissions, but the only part that's truly important is the written tracklists (so that even if the original is lost, the recipient can still recreate and listen to the playlist you made for them). And similarly, if you notice anything that's wrong or see broken links, please let me know, too!
